i second the slow cover! it usually sounds more profound and heart-wrenching. the only one that comes to mind is travis covering ‘hit me baby one more time.’ (but that’s not the perfect example.) i also heard a cover of oasis’s ‘don’t look back in anger’ but i don’t know who did it. not sure that one was slower, but it was definitely more acoustic/laid back.

i sneak food all day long! once toshi picks up on the crinkle-packaging-paper noise, i’m so screwed. i hang out in the kitchen a lot, shoving chocolate or cookies in my mouth. then i casually walk out into the family room to check up on the girls (mouth still full of chocolate). this is where the kid attitude of everything revolving around them really works to your advantage. if you are out of sight and they don’t need you to do something, you don’t exist. i’m hoping this lasts at least until kindergarten.

Ha. I love this! I never had to share my book-it pizzas but that’s mostly b/c we hardly ever went to redeem them. I think my Mom waited for us all to have a full pin before going.

I also love that you guys aren’t food snobs. Those people make me uncomfortable.

Designers get asked to do pro-bono work all the time too. The difference is that if we say no, they can hire their 14 year-old nephew to do it! Yeahhhh. I am pretty impressed that you are doing pro-bono… it sounds stressful but I’m sure the clients appreciate it a ton. I know I would like a free lawyer!
